(1) If an arbitrator appointed for arbitration resigns or refuses to be an arbitrator, or if his position becomes vacant due to his death or for any other reason, within thirty days of the vacancy, the position shall be filled by another in accordance with the same procedure as when he was appointed. It will be completed by appointing an arbitrator.
(2) If the vacancy of the arbitrator cannot be filled within the period specified in sub-section (1), any party may file an application in the High Court within fifteen days of the expiry of such period. In case of such a petition, the High Court shall appoint an arbitrator under section 7 within fifteen days.
